The following observations are not strictly part of the protocol which has to be followed during the model. In spite of this, it is recommended to every delegate, ambassador or participant in the model to consider them.

1.        Each delegate must respect all delegates as fellow human beings.

2.        Delegates must follow the Official Rules of Procedure at all times.

3.        Delegates must respect the authority of the Secretariat, the Chairpersons of the Committees and the Faculty Advisor and comply all reasonable requests made by these individuals.

4.        Delegates must wear at all times the official delegate credentials provided by the Organization of the Model United Nations.

5.        Delegates may send messages among themselves via page considering that such messages are necessary to fulfill their duties. Delegates also have to be careful because the content of such messages must be appropriate.

6.        Delegates shall be recognized be the Chair or the President prior to addressing the Main Committees or the General Assembly, respectively, and must perform politely towards delegates who have been already recognized.

7.        During voting procedures, delegates shall remain at their seat, shall refrain from sending messages and shall remain in silence except when recognized by the Chair or President to case their votes, explain their votes or raise points of order.

8.        Delegates must appropriately represent the governments of their member nation-states at all times.
