By Maricela Urvina Vázquez. – Junior High English Teacher
Last Friday May 17th students from all the Junior High English levels participated in the event English Intercultural Experience. The students had the opportunity to learn more about other countries around the world.
The purpose of the event is to get students to know more about the culture, traditions and history of some countries where English is the official language. The countries and teachers presenting in this edition were: South Africa (Miss Cecilia Avendaño), Ireland (Prof. Vladimir Melgar), New Zealand (Miss Margarita Juárez), India (Prof. Carlos Corona), Australia (Prof. Fabian Rosales), United Kingdom (Miss Maricela Urvina) and Canada (Prof. Ignacio Cozatl).
Students were very enthusiastic to present their classmates their works which included models of some of the most iconic buildings, poster boards, and extra material they used to make them feel immersed in the culture of the different countries.
