Competing in a spelling contest always brings great benefits for our students, as to have the spirit of competence and the willing to learn more words, to enhance vocabulary and memory as well as the improvement of learning skills and to gain confidence to speak in public.
Junior high Benavente students are encouraged to participate in the Spelling Bee contest every year. In this case, our contest was held on June 25th and 26th giving the chance to all the English levels Benavente secondary school has.
The first day of the contest there were 37 participants from level 1 and 2 and the winners were: Montes Duarte Fary Carolina who got the 1st place. Flores Rosales Emiliano the 2nd and Rojas Ramírez Fernanda the 3rd place.
The second day, there were 63 participants from levels 3, 4 and 5 and eight of them were the winners. The 1st place was for Mirales Balderas José Ignacio, and Vázquez Moreno David. The 2nd place was gotten by Vázquez Aviles José Francisco and Alarcón Acosta Christian Jaffe. And the third place was gotten by Carreto Pérez Camila, Davidhi Chávez Dominik, Lima González Javier and Peña Molina Pablo Josué.
